Biography

Douglas Kelly is a paralegal in the firm’s Litigation and Workers’ Compensation practice groups. Douglas has over 11 years of legal experience, first obtaining his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law in 2012, then leaving private practice in 2015 to transition to the research and editorial side of the legal world.

Douglas spent the next several years with EVERFI, an educational technology company and e-learning platform, in a variety of editorial and analytical roles. He was responsible for conducting reviews of online course content for legal and factual accuracy, monitoring and analyzing new legislation at both the state and federal levels, and researching and writing case law summaries for clients prior to joining Hawley Troxell in 2023.
