Our construction attorneys are able to draft construction documents from traditional design-bid-build to fast track design-build contracts. We are well versed in the various approaches to contract documents, helping keep costs under control, effectively allocate risks of unknown conditions, and set forth procedures for handling changes in the work.

Both federal and state public contracting pose unique challenges to contractors and owners. We understand these challenges and have significant experience in advising on the preparation of bid packages, handling bid protests, appearing before dispute review boards, and otherwise resolving disputes which arise during the construction process.

When disputes cannot be resolved informally, our construction group has considerable experience in mediating, litigating, or arbitrating simple claims to complex, multi-party actions relating to the design and construction process. We have been involved in lawsuits and arbitrations involving a wide variety of projects, including building and road construction, telecommunications, and transportation projects. We have represented clients in the mining, semiconductor, industrial gas, railroad, power, renewable energy, transportation, infrastructure construction, and commercial building industries.We regularly prepare claims and develop proof methodologies including delay, acceleration, and impact analyses. We work with engineers and experts to assist in the initial analysis of the claims, and to prepare for the resolution of those claims in litigation and arbitration.
