Biography

Dave Knotts is a partner in the firm’s Alternative Dispute Resolution practice group. ADR is his passion and focus. Mr. Knotts has mediated or arbitrated over 300 disputes involving a broad range of claims and issues. These have included injury claims, 1983 actions, insurance disputes, professional malpractice, attorney fee disputes, construction defect claims, commercial disputes, employment related claims, property damage claims, boundary and access road disputes, quiet title actions, estate disputes, loan disputes, landlord-tenant disputes, consumer claims, losses due to fire, explosions, and water damage, and claims involving nursing homes, governmental entities, and Native American tribes.

Mr. Knotts is a Certified Professional Mediator and is listed on the mediator panels for the Idaho Supreme Court and the United States District Court for Idaho. His practice, however, extends into all the neighboring jurisdictions (Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming and Montana), and beyond. He is an American Arbitration Association panelist for mediations in all areas, construction arbitrations, and consumer arbitrations. He also is a member of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals.
