Biography

Jacob Miller has an extensive background in state government affairs, including legislative advocacy on behalf of clients in the energy, healthcare, municipal finance, telecommunications, and transportation industries. Jacob attended the University of Texas at Austin, graduating with a B.A. in Rhetoric and Writing before embarking on his now decade-plus career in government affairs.

Jacob has successfully advocated for policy change at the local, state, and federal levels. Prior to joining Hawley Troxell, Jacob worked for several congressional and statewide political campaigns, as well as the Director of Communications and External Affairs for the Idaho Republican Party and the Executive Director of the Ada County Republican Central Committee. Jacob’s legislative experience includes serving as a staff member for the Idaho Senate Staff and as a lobbyist for a variety of governmental and private sector clients.

His past and present professional and community service includes the American Legion’s Gem Boys State, the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce, and the Idaho Legislative Advisors.
