Corporate Transparency Act Update – Nationwide Preliminary Injunction Lifted
The court ordered preliminary injunction that halted enforcement of the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) nationwide has been lifted.
ReadErin Tognetti is an attorney in Hawley Troxell’s Pocatello office and a member of the firm’s Litigation and Employment practice groups. Erin attended the McGeorge School of Law at the University of the Pacific, where she received her J.D. in 2011. During law school, Erin interned with the Sacramento County and Placer County Public Defender’s Offices, the Placer County District Attorney’s office, and with the California Department of Justice.
After being admitted to the California bar in February of 2012, Erin worked with a civil firm in Auburn, California for six years, practicing many areas of civil law including probate litigation, property law, construction defect, business law, and landlord/tenant law. In November of 2018, Erin accepted a job as a Deputy District Attorney with El Dorado County, where she began prosecuting mostly felony offenses from the outset, including burglary, assault with a deadly weapon, and welfare fraud cases.
Prior to joining Hawley Troxell in 2024, Erin served for three years as the Bannock County Senior Prosecuting Attorney in Pocatello. During that period, Erin tried 21 cases involving sexual abuse of children, rape, and other violent offenses, refusing to make plea agreements that did not achieve just resolutions and vigorously advocating for substantial prison sentences for child abusers.
