Hawley Troxell is pleased to announce that partner and board member, Nicholas G. Miller has been elected as the Firm’s Managing Partner. Miller has been a member of Hawley Troxell’s Board of Partners for the past six years, and also holds the position as the Chair of its Business and Finance Practice Group.
Working with the Firm’s Board of Partners and its Executive Director, Miller, as the Chief Executive Officer of the Firm will be responsible for the overall strategic direction. Steven W. Berenter, Hawley Troxell’s Managing Partner for the past six years will work closely with Miller during the two month transition. Miller’s term is for three years and will commence on February 1, 2015. Berenter intends to focus his efforts on his employment practice and will continue to lead the firm’s Employment Law Practice Group – a growing endeavor for the firm.

Miller’s practice focuses on corporate transactions, securities offerings, securities law, and municipal bond transactions. He is a graduate of Stanford University Law School and is a member of the American Bar Association, Idaho State Bar, New York State Bar, and the State Bar of California. He has been honored as a Mountain States Super Lawyer since 2013, Best Lawyer in America-Corporate Law, Public Finance Law and Securities/Capital Markets Law since 1995, Best Lawyers in America – Lawyer of the Year-Corporate in 2009 and 2013,Chambers & Partners-Corporate/Commercial since 2003 and Martindale-Hubbell 20-year award for maintaining rating as A/V-rated lawyer.
Miller is active in the community and has chaired the Boise Metro Chamber’s Intermountain Venture Forum from 1999-2004, was Chair of the Boise Valley Economic Partnership, served as Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce Board member and Executive Committee from 2004-2009, served as Chairman of the Board for the Idaho Board Of Corrections from 1991-1994, served on Idaho Public Television’s Board of Trustees from 1995-2001 and was its Board President from 1999-2001, served as Idaho Shakespeare Festival Board President from 2003 to 2005 and has been on its Board of Trustees from 2000 to present.
