Hawley Troxell is pleased to announce Jillian Christiansen has joined the firm as an associate in Hawley Troxell’s Business, Tax, and Public Finance practice groups.
Jillian is a 2021 graduate of the University of Idaho College of Law, receiving a CALI Award for Partnership/Corporate Tax, and received an L.L.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University Law School in 2022. Prior to joining Hawley Troxell, Jillian spent three years as a Public Finance tax attorney, preparing tax compliance certificates and providing tax assistance relating to public finance matters, and is a former Deputy Attorney General of the Idaho State Tax Commission.
Jillian received her B.A. cum laude in Political Science and International Studies at Idaho State University in 2018. She was a legal Extern for U.S. Magistrate Judge Candy W. Dale in 2020, and law clerk for the Idaho Industrial Commission in 2021, as well as a legal intern for Federal Defender Services of Idaho, Capital Habeas Unit in 2020.
Jillian is licensed to practice law in Idaho, Colorado, United States Tax Court, and United States District Court, District of Idaho. She is a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers and the American Bar Association.
An Idaho native, Jillian spends her free time reading, playing board games, and spending time with her family and her dog, Ruger.
