Hawley Troxell Partners, Brad Frazer and Steve Frinsko, presented at the 2021 Boise Entrepreneur Week event held October 19th – 22nd. Steve Frinkso presented with Tovuti to discuss the ups and downs of a start-up. Brad Frazer presented with USPTO and Fin Fun to discuss intellectual property and the resources available to those who need patent or trademark assistance.

Intellectual Property: Protecting Your Ideas and Your Business

Bradlee Frazer is a partner with Hawley Troxell where he chairs the firm’s Internet and Intellectual Property Practice Group. In addition to emphasizing and focusing on all facets of Internet law, Intellectual Property law, and Information Technology law,  he also helps clients with related transactional work and litigation. 

David Le joined the USPTO in January 2009 and examined patents relating to information security and cryptography. He joined the outreach team in various roles at the Rocky Mountain Regional Office in 2016 and 2018 and transitioned to the Assistant Regional Director in February 2020. The Rocky Mountain USPTO services Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming. He has B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma and a Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University School of Law. He is also a member of the Oklahoma State Bar. He enjoys all sports and outdoor activities including snowboarding, camping, and all sorts of fishing.

Steve Browning, Fin Fun’s CFO, has spent most of his professional career in the accounting and finance world. After graduating with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Accounting from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah in 1991, Steve immediately went to work for an international accounting firm in Seattle, Washington. Ten years later, after advancing to the senior manager level, he decided to start his own tax accounting practice. In 2012, Steve joined forces with his brother Eric to become owners and managers of Fin Fun, where Steve manages the financial, legal, HR, and regulatory operations of the company. Steve is happily married to his wife, Sherry, and they are blessed with six children and four grandchildren.

Troy McClain is the CEO and founder of Tovuti LMS, a leading online edtech company located in Eagle, Idaho. Troy is a seasoned entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in startups and cause-driven industries and has been instrumental in providing re-organizational strategies, mentorship, and leadership guidance to Idaho founders and global companies alike. Leading with his personal motto of “The best way to get ahead is to give back,” Troy has become the foremost example of how to give back to others while getting ahead in life.

Steve Frinsko is the business practice group leader and member of the firm’s business and real estate law practice groups. His practice focuses on all aspects of business and real estate law, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate compliance, entity formation and governance, commercial transactions, antitrust compliance, and insurance. His M&A experience includes transactions involving both public and private companies, and his current client base covers the gamut from startups to long-established national companies.
