Boise, Idaho – April 5, 2021. Hawley Troxell is pleased to announce attorneys, Colleen R. Smith and Kenneth Shumard have joined the firm effective March 29, 2021. Colleen and Kenny are both associates in the firm’s litigation practice group.
Before joining Hawley Troxell, Colleen was with Covington & Burling law firm in Washington D.C. She is experienced in advising clients on complex civil matters at all stages of litigation including defending clients against class action suits and in multidistrict litigation. Colleen is licensed to practice law in Idaho, Virginia, and the District of Columbia.
Colleen graduated Valedictorian, summa cum laude from William & Mary Law School. During law school, she was Symposium Editor of the William & Mary Law Review and Vice President of the Student Bar Association
Kenny Shumard graduated summa cum laude from the University of Idaho College of Law. He has a background in computer science and software development and received a dual-undergraduate degrees magna cum laude in Computer Science and Mathematics from Saint Joseph’s College.
Kenny was a law clerk for Chief U.S. Magistrate Judge Ronald E. Bush, U.S. Courts, District of Idaho from 2017 to 2021, and for Chief Justice Jim Jones, Idaho Supreme Court from 2015 to 2016.
