Nicholas G. Miller, Managing Partner of Hawley Troxell is a 2020 ICON Honoree

Boise, ID – August 13, 2020.  Nicholas G. Miller was nominated and named one of  the Idaho Business Review’s 2020 ICON honorees.  The ICON honor is awarded to business leaders who are the pioneers and change-makers, who did things first and continue to kick-start innovation.  They have helped Idaho’s business community grow and they continue to champion their industry through professional creativity, innovation and leadership.

Nick Miller has been Hawley Troxell’s Managing Partner since February, 2015, as well maintains an active practice in corporate transactions, securities offerings, venture capital, and public finance.   During Nick’s tenure as Managing Partner, the firm has merged with the law firm Smith & Banks in Idaho Falls in 2015, the same year five attorneys from a local firm joined the Boise office, expanding the Construction, Employment, Health Care, Insurance, Mediation and Arbitration, and Litigation practice areas, while also adding a specialty in the Defense of Amusement and Leisure industry.  August 1, 2017, Moffatt Thomas and Hawley Troxell joined forces and united as 75 attorneys strong under the Hawley Troxell banner.  Combined, the two firms possess more than100 years of a tradition of excellence in legal service in Idaho and the Intermountain West.  On July 1, 2018, Hawley Troxell acquired the law firm Bailey, Hahn and Jarman.  John A. Bailey and Carol “Tippi” Jarman joined the firm’s Pocatello office and Frederick “FJ” Hahn III was welcomed to the Idaho Falls office.

Nick has been recognized as Best Lawyers in America®, Corporate Law, Public Finance Law and Securities, Capital Markets Law since 1995; in 2009 and 2013, he was recognized as Best Lawyers in America’s® Best Lawyer of the Year in Corporate Law.  Nick is also a Fellow of the American College of Bond Counsel since 2015.

Nick has been a Board of Trustees (2000-2103), and Board President (2003-2005) for the Idaho Shakespeare Festival; Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce, Board Member and Executive Committee (2004-2009); Idaho Public Television Board of Trustees (1995-2001), and Board President (1999-2001); and Idaho Board of Corrections, Chairman of the Board (1991-1994).
