Biography

Michael Merritt works primarily in Hawley Troxell’s Litigation practice group. Michael has developed an active litigation practice over the past 25+ years with extensive expertise in all phases of complex litigation in construction law, business/commercial law, real estate, injury litigation, insurance coverage, professional liability, and general litigation. He has tried more than 20 cases to a jury verdict since he began his practice.

Michael has also served commercial developers as litigation and transactional counsel for construction and business law matters, has served as general counsel to a Las Vegas-based energy company, and has been named a member of the Federal CJA Criminal Defense Panel.
