Biography

Matt Daley represents clients in a broad range of commercial & business issues. Those issues range from corporate formation, corporate governance, and litigation/dissolution. Matt has significant experience in contract disputes, business torts, intellectual property issues, and corporate raiding claims (non-competition and non-solicitation). Matt’s practice encompasses bankruptcy & receivership litigation and intra-corporate litigation, including derivative/direct shareholder claims, dissenters’ rights claims, and claims asserting breach of fiduciary duty.

Matt also represents clients in Trust and Estate litigation. This work includes will contests, claims alleging breach of Trust, and claims seeking to challenge or reform Trust and Estate instruments.

Matt also has significant experience in appeals. Matt regularly handles appeals for Hawley Troxell’s other litigation lawyers, as well as for clients whose underlying trial was conducted by other area firms.

Matt represents clients in a variety of State and Federal Courts, as well as in mediation and arbitration. Matt’s clients come from virtually every Inland Northwest industry, including healthcare, manufacturing, professional services, real estate development & management, forestry, and the non-profit sector.
