Payton Anthony is an associate in the firm’s business and real estate practice groups. Payton has experience as in-house counsel and as an associate within a firm, having represented his clients in a variety of corporate legal matters including mergers & acquisitions, transactions, securities, & IPOs. He has drafted entity formation and corporate governance documents, supply and manufacturing agreements, franchising agreements, employment agreements, equity incentive plans, mutual and multi-party non-disclosure agreements, consulting agreements, and master services agreements. He has negotiated and reviewed various public-company documents for SEC filing, including Forms S-1, 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, 5, 4, and S-3.
While attending the Duke University School of Law, Payton was actively involved with the Duke Law Journal, serving as Research Editor, Staff Editor, and on the Membership Selection Committee. In his free time, Payton enjoys volunteering in his community, studying presidential history, watching Jeopardy, and raising his three dogs.
