Amy M. J. Knight is an associate attorney in the real estate and banking practice groups, and a recent graduate of Concordia University-Portland’s School of Law in Boise, receiving her J.D., magna cum laude, as a non-traditional student. While studying law and taking courses at night, Amy worked fulltime for the firm and, prior to 2018, in the in-house legal department of a local commercial real estate lender, earning CALI awards and Dean’s List honors along the way. Amy previously earned her bachelor’s degree and paralegal degree from Boise State University in night school, also while working fulltime. Her unusual career-and-education path spans 20 long and determined years.
Amy has volunteered for many Treasure Valley charitable causes, including the Girl Scouts of Silver Sage Council, for which she led all of the troops in the Canyon County area. She and her husband and her two daughters have made the Treasure Valley their home for two decades. She is an avid student, gardener, and genealogist, tracing her family line through Mayflower settlers, Revolutionary War heroes, and pioneers, and is a sixth-generation Idahoan, her family having settled in Idaho Territory before statehood.
